• Florida's suicides are two times the number of homicides.
• Suicide is the 2nd leading cause of death for 25-34 and 3rd leading cause for death for youth ages 5-24.
• Every 43 seconds someone in the U.S. attempts suicide; every 18 minutes someone in the U.S. dies by suicide.
• Each person who dies by suicide leaves behind an average of six loved ones or survivors.
